Location
Galiny is a beautifully restored landed estate, situated on the border of Warmia and Masuria Provinces, with the Palace from the sixteenth century, the nineteenth- century Grange, a romantic park with over 200 hectares of forests, meadows, pastures.
The area is cut a small channel of the river which holds many secluded valleys covered with lush and picturesque ponds full of fish. Gentle hills, covered with lush grass is the perfect trail for horse riding and walking and cycling.
Accomodation
Each of the 36 rooms in the Palace and the Grange is different. The unique atmosphere of the historic building is emphasized by all individually designed interiors. Large bathrooms are well matched to the character of the rooms.
The Palace interiors in its design refer to the tradition of the court. They are decorated with a collection of renovated, old furniture, complemented by matching them, individually designed wooden furniture.
The neighboring antique Grange is a complex of buildings rendered in rustic red brick, set around a courtyard with a scenic pond in the middle. This is also the site of the old granary building with its clock tower housing the two-level restaurant and restored stables holding dozens of horses.
Pastel rooms in the Grange have a rustic atmosphere, highlighted by exposed beams, heavy wooden doors and stylish bay windows and shutters.
Facilities
Each room has a television, telephone and free broadband Internet access. Large bathrooms are well matched to the character of the rooms. Some rooms in the Grange are available directly from the garden. This possibility is especially appreciated by the owners of dogs that are always welcomed.
Dining
Excellent cuisine, modern, but taking into account the region's typical culinary traditions, is a great asset of Galiny. For cooking, we use vegetables, fruits and herbs from our own crops, we serve locally produced cheeses, cold meats and homemade preserves. This ensures freshness and quality.
Each month the chef offers new, seasonal dishes made with currently available, fresh produce, the best in the season of the year.
Leisure
The specific nature of the Palace and the Grange of Galiny allows our guests to spend every day differently, according to the rhythm of their needs:
* Almost 70 horses bred in historic stables and beautiful landscapes of the estate enable to operate a school of horse riding at any level - classes for beginers, improving riding skills and exciting field trips.
* In Russian banya one can regenerate strenght perfectly after physical and mental exertion, it hardens the body, protects against colds.
* Our ponds are waiting for fans of peaceful contemplation of the beauty of nature with a fishing rod in hand.
* In the heat of summer swimming in the natural ponds among fields and meadows provides a refreshment, and a sandy and grassy beach invites to blissful laziness
* In winter our areas are particulary suitable for slenght riders or skiring. We also set the trail for cross-country skiing, along The Three Ponds Trail to lead skiers through the most beautiful corners of the property.
