All citizens of Chile, regardless of the duration of their stay, and all foreigners who stay in the country for at least 60 consecutive days may have to pay the national sales tax (19%) when checking out. To obtain a tax exemption, foreign citizens must, upon entry, pay for their stay in foreign currency (not in Chilean pesos) and present a valid passport along with the migration card they received upon entering the country. If a person subject to paying the tax and another exempt from the same share a room, the rate may be applied to the entire room.
In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), additional safety and sanitation measures are in effect at this property. A damage deposit of USD 112 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. Foreign business travelers, who require a printed invoice, will also be charged the additional 19% regardless of the length of their stay in Chile. LOCAL TAX LAW.
