In the popular ski resort of Ylläs, LostStar Apartments offers modern apartments with private saunas just a kilometre from the centre of Äkäslompolo village. Skiing and hiking tracks start 50m from the hostel and private parking is available with car heaters. Each apartment has an open-plan living and kitchen area including a dining table and chairs. They also feature a flat-screen TV and extra sleeping space can be created using the sofa-bed in the living area. There is a bus connecting LostStar Apartments to the ski slopes, while the owner provides help with booking activities such as reindeer safaris, Northern Lights trips and ice fishing on Lake Äkäsjärvi. The closest supermarket is just over a kilometre away, and the village of Kolari is half an hour’s drive from the apartments. Kittilä Airport is 50 km away.
