365 km north from Rovaniemi, 34 km from Inari, in village Kaamanen on beach ridge by nameless pond (lenght of the pond 200 m, width 150 m), 30 m from cabin to the pond (stairs on the way), natural state hard bottom beach. No boat.
Log cabin (grizzled from outside), built in 1987, living room with convertible sofa, kitchen, bedroom with double bed, bedroom with bunk bed (lower bed 120 cm width), toilet and shower cubicle. Big patio on the ridge. In addition to fire place there is also a wood stove.
Separate sauna building by the pond; washing room (shower), sauna (wood heated sauna stove and water tank) and room with fireplace. There is electric lighting, electric heating, hotplate and 2 beds in the room with fireplace.
Gas grill.
Log cabin by the pond surrounded by the ridges, peaceful location. Homey cabin whereof the northernmost Lapland is easily reachable.
In the yard area there are dog kennel and doghouses for several (20-30) dogs.
The pond is spring water -bearing and there is no fish. However, there are good fishing places nearby: River Kaamasjoki and its rapids about 2 km distance, Inari wilderness fishing area No. 1564 (www.eraluvat.fi), Lake Inarijärvi license area No 1580 (www.eraluvat.fi), please check also provincial lure fishing fee (province of Lapland, www.eraluvat.fi or www.luontoon.fi).
Hunting: Northern Lapland willow grouse license area Kaamanen No 1607, Muotkatunturi license area No. 1608.
Services in Kaamanen village (e.g. restaurant, shop) 7,5 km, Inari centre and Northern Lapland Nature Centre and Sámi Museum Siida 34 km, Ivalo 75 km.
Please notice that cabin is not preheated before customer`s arrival. Due to long distances maintenance can not check the cabin after all customers. If the destination is not cleaned on there are deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately on arrival. Please take care also that the cabin is clean and tidy for the next client.
