They are located beside the square surrounding the town's Metropolitan Church with its listed bell-tower dating back to 1899, and a short distance from the Venetian harbour and the Fortezza castle. Rethymnon's endless northern beach is a mere 200 metres away. The historic residence - it belonged to a family of Cretan nobles of Venetian extraction called Moatsos - with the inner courtyard, and the second, more recent building, constitute a surprising retreat, an exceedingly tasteful mix of tradition and luxury. Accomodation
Our hotel is in Tobazi Street, which is in a privileged position. It is part of the historic centre of the old town, which means it is very close to all the historic monuments (such as the Great Gate, Rimondi Fountain, the Mosque of Sultana Valide, the Venetian Loggia, the hall of St Francis, the Neratze Mosque, and the superb Venetian harbour, as well as many more!). At the same time it is also on the edge of the new town of Rethymnon. The new and modern 4 Martyrs' Square and the Municipal Car-park, the Public Garden and the main commercial street are all but a few minutes' walk away.
