Hotel Nordlys is in the village of Rode Bay and provides simple, modern rooms and a shared kitchen. The hotel can be reached from the town of Ilulissat via boat, staff can arrange transport to/from Ilulissat for an additional fee. Guests can book fishing trips, dog sledding and many other activities. Nordlys’s rooms have shared toilets and showers. All offer panoramic views of Disko Bay and Rode Bay (Oqaatsut). The hotel serves a daily breakfast buffet. During warmer months, guests can relax with a drink on the spacious terrace. BBQ facilities are also available The neighbouring building houses a fitness centre and laundry facilities. H8 Restaurant, 5 minutes’ walk away, serves Greenland specialities. Hiking and cross-country ski trails are found nearby, and ski equipment is available for rent at the hotel.
