Set in a Georgian property, once home to poetess Mary Jane Irwin, An Sugan is a family-run guesthouse and seafood restaurant. Located at the heart of the historic city of Clonakilty, the guesthouse is 10 minutes’ walk from Clonakilty Museum, which boasts a display of Michael Collins memorabilia. Each room at An Sugan feature a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and tea/coffee making facilities. The furniture is chic and modern and guests can enjoy a stylish environment. A continental breakfast is served in the restaurant. Next door to the guesthouse, the An Sugan seafood restaurant boasts an award-winning menu which is designed to complement fresh fish delivered daily and local produce. Guests can enjoy the West Cork Seafood Pie and Traditional Fresh Fish & Hand‐Cut Potato Chips. The restaurant also offers lighter options and home-made desserts. 5 km from the property, Inchydoney offers beautiful beaches and scenic views of the sea. Whale watching, fishing and surfing are amongst the activities available in this seaside town. Templebryan Stone Circle, also known as the Druid Temple, is 2 and half km from the property.
This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. Please inform An Sugan Guesthouse in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. It is not possible to stay at this property for Coronavirus (COVID-19) quarantine purposes. Please note that guests will be charged for keys not returned on check-out. Any missing items (including towels) will also be charged to the guest. Please note that we require a 20% non refundable deposit for large group bookings of 4 or more rooms. Please note, early or late check-in times cannot be accommodated. Please note that guests are required to call the property on arrival so they can be met at the door with the keys. Contact details are on the confirmation email sent after booking. Food and drink from outside, cannot be brought into the rooms. Please note that clean towels will be provided during your stay, but we do not make beds or clean the room during your stay. A €100 fine will be charged if found that smoking has occurred in the room during your stay.
