Historical hot spring hotel Syohoen offers public baths with nature views, just 6 minutes from Mineyoshikawa Station with its complimentary shuttle service. A free-use internet PC is available. A registered historical building, Syohoen was completed in 1917. Its open-air hot spring and 2 indoor baths can be reserved for private use. Rooms breathe a historical atmosphere, and feature tatami-mat (woven straw) floors and futon bedding. Yukata bathrobes are provided. Bathroom facilities are shared. Hotel Syohoen serves a Japanese breakfast and a multi-course dinner with local dishes in the dining room. It also has drink vending machines. The hotel is an hour’s drive from the historical site Bukeyashiki in Kakunodate. Akita Airport is a 20-minute drive away. A free shuttle is available from Akita Airport and Mineyoshikawa Station, if reserved in advance.
