Featuring 5 different Japanese baths, traditional foods and 2 saunas, Jomon no Yado Manten is just 200 metres from Yakushima Airport and a 45-minute drive from the Shiratani Unsuikyo Ravine. Rooms have a flat-screen satellite TV and a green-tea maker. Guests can choose between a standard Western room and a Japanese-style room with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon beds. Each air-conditioned room at Jomon no Yado Ryokan has a fridge, an attached toilet and shared bathrooms. Anbo Harbour, Miyagaura Harbour and the Yakushima Environmental Culture Foundation are all a 15-minute drive away. Shitogo Gajumaru-en Banyan Garden and Chihiro Waterfall can be reached with a 30-minute drive from the property. The hotel offers a completely non-smoking environment in which to enjoy its many baths. Guests can further relax with a massage or check out the local items sold at the gift shop. Japanese breakfasts and dinners are served at the dining room, and feature local specialities made with seafood and pork. For breakfast, either a buffet or a Japanese set menu is served while a traditional Japanese set menu is offered for dinner.
