The house was built in 1890 in a typical Ottoman architectural style, and is considered one of the most important houses in ancient Hama city. Combines the modernity and heritage, and it summarizes the memory of this city with its structural, architectural and historical elements. It is a house from the 18th century, owned by the Alhorani family, which participated in important political events in on the Syrian, Arab and regional levels. One part of the building which was considered as the private area of the house (haramlek) is dedicated to accommodation and offers 23 rooms overlooking the oriental style lobby. The other part of the house (Public, Salamlek) offers a court with a fountain with 2 sitting areas (iwans).
