This charming holiday home is a former fishermans cottage from the 1800s. It is set by the sea on Gullholmen, Orust, one of the most beautiful islands of the west coast. The cottage has a lovely view of the sea.
The cottage was fully renovated in 2010, and has a ground floor and a basement. The open-plan kitchen and living room is equipped with the basic kitchen amenities, as well as a TV and a DVD-player. The master bedroom is light and airy, and features a double bed. There are three smaller bedrooms, each one equipped with a single bed. The bathroom is in the basement, it has underfloor heating and contains a WC, a washbasin, a shower, and a washing machine.
You will find a number of lovely bathing spots within a distance of 400 metres. Gullholmen is an enchanting island that has been populated since the 13th century. Today, the island has a population of 120 people, not counting the summer visitors. The island offers plenty of culture, such as Skepparhuset, Stenstugan, an art museum, and the Harmanö nature reserve. The area offers many sights and activities, for instance theres a boule court, a football field, and a beautiful church nearby. Theres a grocery store on the island, and theres restaurants, an ice cream kiosk, a cinema, and a library. You can rent a boat at the harbour.
Gullholmen is a car-free island. Theres a parking lot by the ferry berth in Tuvesvik. From there you catch a ferry to Gullholmen.
